Temple Carvings are blocks of wood taken from the doors and paneling of temples on the mainland. There are many fine pieces that are sold for about US$100 to US$450. There are also many counterfeits.
The value of the carvings depends on the workmanship and size of the panel, but the thickness of the wood (normally 2" to 4") decides the value of the piece. BARGAIN HARD!

A bronze ware, it is enameled on the outside to look like smooth, shiny porcelain. Wires are welded to the metal ware, and are used to trace the outlines of floral patterns and other designs. Once, gold was used instead of bronze in the making of Cloisonné ware.
Cinnabar is carved lacquer, mostly bronze ware. Layers of lacquer are painted on metal and then carved to give the pieces a wooden look. More than a hundred coats of lacquer are painted on the surface before carving. A good cinnabar piece can take a year to make.
