Don't buy things unless you know what you are buying. You can become a victim very easily. Most of us can't tell the difference between grades, colors, sizes and cuts of diamonds, sapphires, emeralds and rubies, or even if they're real.
"Bait and switch" is very common. A shop advertises a popular item at a low price and then 'just happens to have sold the last one' when you arrive. Then, they talk you into another brand. Know what you should pay, the rule is: "If the price is too good to be true, it probably isn't."
